Overview
The Research:
The course developers conducted interviews with Directors, Sr. Directors, VP's, CxO's, and Presidents in a variety of industries, asking for their real-world experiences and advice for those transitioning to a managing mangers role. The data gathered from these interviews was augmented with extensive research in current thinking on leadership and management. The result is a robust program, firmly grounded in the reality of today's business environment.
The Problem:
First-line managers are routinely promoted to senior management and leadership positions without adequate preparation, resulting in low productivity, poor business results, low morale and missed opportunities. There are many resources for new managers; however, it is generally assumed that by the time a manager is promoted to a senior management role, they already possess the competencies necessary to manage managers. This assumption often creates frustration for the newly promoted manager, their leadership, and their employees.
The Solution:
This high energy, action based training provides the new manager of managers with the tools, skills and knowledge they need to make a smooth transition into their new role. Participants will identify what they need to keep doing, stop doing, and start doing to transfer the learning to their work units. The result is higher productivity, better business results, higher morale, and better bottom-line financial results in the first 90 days.
Audience:
High-performing managers who are transitioning from manager of individuals to manager of managers or new managers of managers.
