Audience: HR professionals, hiring managers, members of the interviewing team including engineers, sales professionals, support teams, and developers.
Overview: Hiring in today’s economy has many challenges: technical talent shortage, candidates from diverse cultures, different generational values, well-prepared savvy candidates, those who may generalize or exaggerate experiences, and non-HR personnel not knowing the legal boundaries of asking the candidate questions.
This class goes beyond behavioral questions. Participants learn how to screen for: 1) current technical knowledge, 2) problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, and 3) career goals and interests.
Participants will focus on specific, actual job categories and develop an interview plan to apply to a real upcoming interview opportunity. The day includes numerous group practices to apply key learning points.
