Communicate Powerfully: Speak, Listen, and Act

Course Length: 1 day

Listening and speaking are arguably the two most fundamental competences in business and in life. They are the key enablers for expanding your business responsibilities, your career ambitions and your relationships.

This course will re-visit the very nature of effective communication and show how less than stellar communication is an obstacle to engaging others, evoking commitment and taking powerful action. This program will open possibilities for you to listen and speak authentically, naturally and powerfully. This is not merely a techniques course, but is a logical extension of your authentic ability to be present, open and connected to others. You’ll experience improvement in how you generate new opportunities, make requests and offers, gain commitment from others and build trust.

Key Topics

  • How do you know you have effective communication?
  • Settling into your authentic style
  • Anticipating what others are already listening to before you arrive
  • Noticing and shifting the internal conversations that can distract us all
  • Easing fears of speaking in groups, reporting to senior executives or presenting to key clients
  • Learning how to command and compel attention authentically and easily
  • Combining listening and speaking to motivate and mobilize others
