Managing Across Cultures
Audience: Managers only

The globalization of goods and services is making the world flatter for all of us. Not only customers come from other cultures but also our project team members, managers and executives. The invisible aspects of culture, especially those essential for building relationships - different or competing values, attitudes and cultural norms - require attention and skill to manage successfully. Cultural skills are now an essential rather than merely a desirable job requirement.

We will use quizzes, case studies, and individual and small group work to keep the program practical, personal and lively.

Additionally we will focus on the cultures of India and China because of their contribution to the engineering labor market and their importance as business and technology centers in the global economy.
