Overview

The Clifton StrengthsFinder® is a powerful assessment administered by Gallup that guides individuals to recognize, understand and build on their strengths and their unique combination of skills, talents and knowledge. StrenghthsFinder is a program that gives individuals, teams and organizations the practical tools to maximize their strengths in order to exceed expectations for productivity and success.

Objectives
Through interactive activities, participants will be able to:

  • Name their unique, individual talents and the talents and strengths of their team
  • Claim their unique talents by looking at ways to leverage their talents more productively in their work and on their teams
  • Aim their talents productively by creating a “strengths-based” development plan that leverages their talents and strengths
  • Complete a framework that will guide effective development conversations with their leaders and team mates

Strengths-Based Development is based on extensive research of organizations that have successfully unleashed human potential to drive bottom-line performance. The key finding is that when there is a deliberative focus on identifying, developing and leveraging strengths, versus fixing weaknesses, individual and organizational productivity can increase. In addition, the research conducted by the Gallup Organization shows that employees who feel that their strengths are being used every day are:

  • 38% more likely to work in more productive business units
  • 44% more likely to have higher Customer Satisfaction scores
  • 50% more likely to work in business units with lower employee turnover

In fact, employees say they are able to use their strengths every day are SIX TIMES more likely to be engaged in their jobs.
